Prego Round 2

If you're afraid of reading TMI about me, you may want to stop now and read a different post ;)

Well here I am again, writing secret posts about being pregnant.  I've decided the worst part about trying to get pregnant is when your period rolls around...  Sorry if this is more than you want to know, but just the situation when you're all excited about finding out if you're pregnant or not, and then bam the joys of being a girl come to visit.  Not only are you disappointed that you're not pregnant, but then you also have to deal with your monthly.  It's just the worst.  Maybe it's just me, but every little thing that would happen inside my body in those two weeks between ovulation and taking the pregnancy test would make me think, "I must be pregnant."  But when it finally happened in September I could REALLY tell.  My last pregnancy I was busy working and didn't have as many "triggers" to help me recognize I pregnant.  So this time with being at home and more in tune with my body, my biggest signs were:
  •  My body temperature was higher, and I just felt hot all the time.
  • Nausea, Nausea, Nausea...  Not the throw up kind, just the "What did I just eat?" or "I should probably eat something..."  types.
  • I have thrown up twice, which was different because I never threw up with Deja, so we're thinking it could be a boy, or I just don't eat as well as I used to, haha.
  • Peeing more
  • I brought home some leftover chips and salsa from Young Women's one night.  The next morning around 9:30 a.m., I saw the chips on the counter and I literally couldn't take my mind off them.  I had to eat those chips and salsa, and once I started I just couldn't stop..... until the Nausea set in of course.
  •  On a similar note, I have had less of an appetite for sweets, which isn't me at all.  It's crazy that my cravings for the salty foods have already made themselves apparent.   That and cheese, which is weird, I just want cheese all the time.
  • Exhaustion and shortness of breath have also made their presence, but those happen regularly with taking care of a 2 year old ;)
  • Also no PMS, so that's always a plus.  I do really well on those awesome pregnancy hormones... usually
  •  It took about 5 and 1/2 months to get prego, which was the same amount of time it took with Deja!

We told our families we were pregnant on Thanksgiving when I was almost 13 weeks along.  I showed up on my parents doorstep like this and then sent the picture to my other siblings!  We told John's family after eating dinner while playing "game in a bowl" (similar to catch phrase, but you write down your own words/phrases).

We announced on facebook by posting this picture and saying "Player 2 coming June 6, 2016"

This last week we went to our 20 week appointment/ultrasound and found out we are having a BOY!!!!  We are so excited to have one of each :)
