One night we were driving past the temple and John started singing "I Love To See The Temple" and Deja shouted, "Sing in the bedroom!!" basically meaning, we don't sing that in the car, we sing it at night before bedtime, haha.
After leaving my sister Debbie's house Deja noticed that the door was painted blue and then said, "It's blue, like Jenny's door!" It's amazing what this kid remembers!
John finished changing Deja's diaper one day and after standing her back up she proclaimed, "You did so well!!" Haha, I wonder where she's heard that one?
Sometimes Deja will make up songs and sing and sing at the top of her lungs for 1 minute straight and then abruptly stop and ask, "Like my song?" We always reply, "I love your song!"
I shared this on facebook, but Deja has made it a habit of "Blessing Star Wars" in her prayers. She must have picked up on the phrase with all our talk when the movie came out, but we're not sure what she thinks it means.... As of now, I think it just means stars in general, but who knows haha.
She always asks "What's happening Mom (or Dad)?" to better understand why we are acting in certain ways during new situations. Similarly she'll ask, "What's that?" whenever she hears new noises or something unexpected.

In other news, we are in the middle potty training Deja. Today was day 5, and I would like to think the process is going well, but I don't really have anything to compare it too. Some of the victories include that she has used the toilet at Grandma's and at a friends house successfully, and has only had accidents at home (which isn't super surprising since we haven't gone out much), on day 4 she didn't have any accidents at all, and I have only had to clean up an out of toilet #2 one time!
We have mostly been rewarding with "potty prizes" because I don't want to do a ton of conditioning with treats/food if I can help it, although we have been rewarding successful #2's with m&m's, so we haven't avoided it completely. Here's to hoping we can both stick with it till she's officially got it!!
