Christmas Catch-up!

Here I am playing catch up again, so buckle up and enjoy the ride!!  What a fun month december was! John took his finals for the semester and thoroughly enjoyed having time off from school.  However with that time off, we spent most of our nights performing up at This Is The Place in the Caroling Choir.

This year the “Christmas Season” for the park was a lot shorter than last year.  It also wasn’t as cold and snowy as last year so it went by really fast.  Between our regular jobs, the caroling choir, and shopping for Christmas we did find some time to spend with Family and Friends.

With my immediate family being so large, there was only a 2 hour time span during December when the entire family (siblings/in-laws/nieces and nephews) could be together.  We savored it and of course got a “yearly” picture with all of us in it. We were able to spend the Sunday before Christmas and Christmas evening with the Southwick side.  For our first Christmas together, John and I did stockings for each other.  Some of our favorite presents we received were a new camera, a kitchen aide, a knife block, movies, sunglasses, clothes, other kitchen appliances, a cocoa-latte’ machine, and of course socks!

John proved, yet again, to be a better gift giver than me this year.  After presents we went to Sacrament Meeting and sang with the choir for the Christmas program.  Other than that, it was a fabulous day spent with family.  The week between Christmas and New Years was our busiest.  Every night we seemed to have work, parties, or receptions to go to.  It really kept us on our toes, but I think we were able to see everyone we wanted to.
